Casting light on some intersections of gender and space.

OpaCity is an immersive spatial experience created with 2 video walls, several photographs, objects, text and fragments of mirrors. Its works with the perspective that the gendered body is an opaque presence. Sometimes belonging, sometimes owning, sometimes alienated. Always aware, always strategizing. Often framing, but even more often being framed by the space it inhabits, in permanence or in passing. Spaces imagined by convention, inscribed with sexuality, activated by memory, and located at the intersection of image and image-making.
